Rami Cassis is the founder and Managing Partner of Parabellum. He spearheads engagement with vendors, owners and management, oversees all transactions for the business, and leads the operational development of portfolio companies, supported by a broad and trusted network of commercial and sector specialists.
The success of Parabellum owes much to Rami’s extensive operational experience, gained from within software and services-oriented businesses. That hands-on approach remains central to Parabellum’s portfolio investment and management philosophy.
Before his career in investment, Rami Cassis spent many years in operational leadership and management, building deep experience in sectors in which are now the focus of Parabellum’s investment strategy.
Rami was a Managing Director with Atos Origin, a global IT and digital transformation company, where he ran its Business Process Outsourcing unit. Prior to Atos he was a principal adviser to Government and private sector at KPMG. Earlier in his career, he was an Operations and Business Director for Schlumberger, the world’s leading oilfield services business, holding numerous positions across the Middle East, Central Africa and Asia.
Across the current Parabellum portfolio. Rami serves as Chairman and CEO of Parseq, the multi-channel business services company which he founded. Under his leadership, Parseq has been recognised by The Sunday Times’ Fast Track index of the UK’s fastest growing privately-held businesses. In addition, Rami is CEO of Razor Risk, specialists in advanced risk management technology, and a director of Intelligent Environments, an innovative fintech business.
Rami’s stewardship of our portfolio businesses is augmented by trusted advisors and practitioners with backgrounds in business management, consulting and finance. Together, the team have steered portfolio companies to unprecedented levels of commercial success, illustrated by their current performance.
Parseq has been restored to growth since Parabellum assumed control from private equity management late last year. Following a very poor story in 2016, the company’s operational and organic growth performance has been transformed, and Parseq is now set for exceptional years in 2017 and 2018. Intelligent Environments has turned from a loss-maker at acquisition in 2010 to double revenues, return to healthy profitability and diversify in to attractive new markets. Razor Risk, acquired in late 2016, has already significantly improved margins and won two new strategic clients in 2017, with a strong pipeline for 2018.
